Coiled Spring Pins

 

Coiled Spring Pin has proven to be the most versatile spring pin in the industry. More than fasteners, SPIROL Coiled Pins are shock-absorbing elements that are integral, active components of a total assembly.  A problem solver, SPIROL Coiled Pins offer the lowest installed cost in most applications.

 

An “engineered-fastener”, the Coiled Pin is available in three “duties” to enable the designer to choose the optimum combination of strength, flexibility and diameter to suit different host materials and application requirements. The Coiled Pin distributes static and dynamic loads equally without a specific point of stress concentration give you flexibility, uniformity in strength, closer diameter tolerances, distribution of equal stress, not interlocking, automatic feeding that is trouble-free, and they reduction of costs. THis flexibility and strength are effective in any direction the load is applied, and therefore, the pin does not require orientation
in the hole during assembly.


Standard Coiled Spring Pins give you flexibility, uniformity in strength, closer diameter tolerances, distribution of equal stress, not interlocking, automatic feeding that is trouble-free, and they reduction of costs.   Light, standard, and heavy duty pins provide combinations of strength, flexibility and diameter to meet the specific engineering needs of your pinning applications.

 

SPIROL’s Coiled Pin was designed keeping how assembly will be in mind. When compared to other simular pins, these pins having square ends, lower insertion forces and concentric chamfers  support them to be ideal for automated assembly systems. Our coiled spring pins

Our coiled spring pins are available in heavy (ISO 8748) and standard (ISO 8750) providing different requirements of flexibility, strength and diamete.

  • Standard Duty: ISO 8750, BS7058, DIN 7343: Standard duty coiled spring pins offer the best balance between flexibility and strength and are recommended for most applications.
  • Heavy Duty:  ISO 8748, BS 7057, DIN 7344: Heavy duty coiled spring pins are typically used in high shear strength applications and hardened host materials.

Materials

We have a learge array of materials available. Our coiled pins can be made in Light Duty, Standard Duty, Heavy Duty, Carbon Steel CS70, Stainless steel AISI 304 ( Nickel Stainless ), Corrosion resistant steel AISI 420 ( Chrome Stainless ) and Alloy steel AISI 6150 Diameters 16mm and 20mm.


Finishes

The standatd plain oiled finish is our standard  but they can also come Zinc plated to BS1706 Class c, Phosphate to BS3189 Type 1B and Pickled for stainless steel finish.
